The introduction of self-checkouts has been seen by many as a positive move, although some have cited concerns about a lack of staffing during peak hours. Bought rotten peaches today, it was in packaging and I couldn't see condition. Tried to call Aldi, but there only bot answering. Couldn't find option Contact Us on their page either. The only option to go there again? Spend time and petrol. You have to better check quality of the products you are selling. And you should leave people options to contact you.
Pictures show the manufacturing date and warranty. Aldi want to know what date and which store this was purchased from. I think the important thing here is the broken blade that I could have swallowed and not a $50 refund. Perhaps a better response would be to receive it and send it to their buyer for product recall so nobody has a serious injury.
I think the introduction of Self checkouts is good.
However the lack of staffing for these, creates a massive gridlock during peak times. Additionally it doesn’t help when there is no one it monitor the checkouts when they don’t want to recognise an item.
Dodgy processes, purchase a pizza spatula reduced from $14.99 to $10.49, went through self checkout, noticed I had been charge $14.99. Ignorant to their scanning policy I ask If this was scanned at a higher rice should I get it for free, the guy said I don't know go and check the scanning policy displayed on the entrance wall. It turns out if the product is a reduced item then they refund the difference. The issue is the product had a reduced stick showing $10.49 but no bar code, how many people who think they are getting a reduced don't notice they have been overcharged? I spoke to a female supervisor and said I would rather get a refund when the guy processed the refund I stated the Efpos machine did not show it was a credit, he said it sayes it on his screen. When he had finished, I asked him for the refund receipt which he had lost, he looked inside hos bin but couldn't find, fortunately the supervisor was still hanging around and said she would print a copy of the refund receipt which she did.
It seems to me that the staff at this branch are a little undertrained to the inconvenience of their customers. I shall never stop there again. Supervisor said they had a problem with self checkout recognizing reduced product so knowingly sticking price labels on a product (reduced or not) that they know won't scan you would consider is illegal.
Loved it only because it's a decent place. Would I shop here regularly? No. Their prices aren't cheaper than a lot of the staples that Coles and Woolies have up the road. They have great specials but it comes down to knowing what the specials are. And also don't advertise them online so making comparisons when I shop are virtually impossible and I'm not going to make one effort to walk around the shop to see what savings I can get. When the budget is tight, sure they can be good, but not reliably.
Loved the range of Christmas goodies at a good price. Their meat, fruit, and veg are always well priced and meat good quantity, and those flat marinated chickens on the BBQ take some beating.
Shop here all the time aside from the busy periods it's a good place to shop.
Variety of top quality meats.
Prices are good.
Many great bargains in the middle isles. From gardening, yard, household needs.
It was good👍🏻 Different.... but good. Looks great since refurb. Undercover parking is a great place to get stuck into some Knoppers and shut the kids up🤯. Dont forget your coin for the trolley. …
More affordable prices but some branded items are not available. Overall would recommend 👌🏼 …
